Burch, Marchiano Selected to 2022 USA Low-Point Wheelchair Rugby Practice Squad
Sportable is proud to announce that two members of the Sportable Possums Wheelchair Rugby team, Josh Burch and Mandy Marchanio, have been selected to the inaugural USA Low-Point Wheelchair Rugby practice squad.
Sportable Hosts River City Classic March 12-13
Sportable is proud to announce the return of the River City Classic presented by the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-Atlantic Chapter March 12-13, 2022. Hosted by the Sportable Rim Riders, the adult wheelchair basketball tournament will feature a dozen Division II and Division III teams from across the east coast at RockIt Sports in Richmond, VA.
Sportable Boosters Share the Love Year-Round
Amy Ridolphi decided to become a Sportable Booster Club member (a monthly donor to Sportable) during the pandemic. She recalls observing how Sportable worked so hard to keep athletes active and engaged while other nonprofits shut their doors temporarily or even permanently.
RVA Adaptive Sports Festival Returns March 26
Sportable is proud to host the RVA Adaptive Sports Festival on Saturday, March 26, 10am-2pm, at J.R. Tucker High School. The free event is designed to introduce 15 adaptive sports to individuals of all ages with physical disabilities and visual impairments as well as showcase the region’s top wheelchair sports teams to the community. Sportable’s Chris Marston Named Richmond’s Male Athlete of the Year
Sportable’s own Chris Marston was recognized as the region's Male Athlete of the Year at the inaugural RVA Sports Awards on Saturday, February 5. Hosted by football star Tiki Barber, the event was broadcast live on CBS6 and took place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in front of a sold out crowd.
