Goalball

Goalball is an intense, fast-paced, team-based sport that is ideal for athletes looking for a competitive challenge.

Goalball is a Paralympic sport played exclusively by athletes with visual impairments. Players wear opaque eyeshades at all times ensuring fair competition and compete in teams of three.

The object of the game is for players to use ear-hand coordination to throw a ball embedded with bells past their opponents and into their net to score points. Players stay on their hands and knees to defend their net and score against their opponents.

Who Can Play

Open to Sportable members, 5 years and older, who are blind or visually impaired and can transition between sitting, laying, and standing positions on the court independently.
