When there is one ball runner:
Stay positioned at the net post. You should retrieve balls between service lines and return balls to the server after the point is over. If no Court Monitor is present, you should keep score cards up to date at the conclusion of each game.

When there are two ball runners:
You should be positioned at both net posts. Retrieve balls between service lines and return balls to the server after the point is over. If no Court Monitor is present, you should keep score cards up to date at the conclusion of each game.

When there are three ball runners:
One person should be positioned at the net. The other ball runners should stay behind base lines. Retrieved balls should be tossed to the server or rolled to the ball runner at the net and eventually to the server. The person positioned at the net should update score cards.

When there are four ball runners:
Two people should be positioned at the net and the other two behind opposite baselines. One person positioned at the net should update score cards.

Duties Include:

• Organize hospitality area in the Player Lounge for lunch and/or dinner
• Assist with serving lunch/dinner as needed
• Keep coolers stocked with ice and drinks
• Keep snacks stocked and organized
• Pack up leftovers and tidy up hospitality area
• Demonstrate friendly customer service

• Stand at the net posts
• Don't speak with players during the match, they are trying to focus
• If play is between the first and second serve, wait for players to call for a ball
• If balls go on an adjacent court, wait for a break in play to grab it

• You will be provided with a volunteer shirt to wear during the event
• Please wear lightweight, athletic clothes that are appropriate for the weather
• Closed-toe athletic or running shoes are highly recommended. No sandals or flip flops for ball runners or court monitors please.
