Sportable’s 2024 Tailgate Season Presented by Dominion Energy Kicks Off in September

RICHMOND, VA – (Wednesday, August 27, 2024) – Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, is proud to announce the 2024 Tailgate Season will span the month of September. Proudly sponsored by Dominion Energy for the seventh consecutive year, Sportable’s signature fundraising campaign is an extended celebration of community, camaraderie, and inclusivity with a goal to raise critical funds and awareness for the non-profit’s mission to make sports accessible and inclusive for individuals with physical disabilities.

“Hosting, attending, or donating to a Sportable Tailgate is one of the most impactful ways to champion our goal of offering top-tier, inclusive sports, recreational, and wellness opportunities,” commented Hunter Leemon, Sportable Chief Executive Officer. “Sportable Tailgate Season not only serves as a platform to honor our athletes and their achievements but also raises awareness and resources vital to our mission’s success. Sportable families, donors, and supporters plan to host personalized Tailgate parties throughout the month of September with a goal to raise $100,000. Tailgate Season will conclude with a celebration of Sportable athletes, partners, and donors at the Hourigan Athlete Tailgate on Thursday, September 26.
