
ABLEnow, Hourigan Named Official Championship Court Sponsors of the 2024 NWBA Wheelchair Basketball National Championships
RICHMOND, VA – (Wednesday April 3, 2024) – Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, is proud to name ABLEnow and Hourigan the Official Championship Court Sponsors of the NWBA Junior and Adult Division Wheelchair Basketball National Championships, respectively. The top 100 wheelchair basketball teams from across the country will compete for national titles April 5-14, 2024 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. Tickets are on sale now at Sportable.org/Nationals-Tickets.
“We can’t wait for the best-of-the-best to lift trophies on Championship Sunday,” commented Hunter Leemon, Sportable Chief Executive Officer. “We are grateful for the support of ABLEnow and Hourigan that allows us to elevate the Championships for these teams traveling from across the country to compete for national titles. We strongly encourage the RVA community to come out to Henrico Sports & Events Center to see what wheelchair basketball is all about.”
The top 52 Junior teams, including the hometown Sportable Spokes, will compete in national tournaments April 5-6. ABLEnow will crown Champions in the Junior Prep and Varsity Divisions on Championship Sunday, April 7 with games tipping off on the ABLEnow Championship Court at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The top 16 ranked wheelchair basketball teams for each Adult Division (I, II, III), including the hometown Sportable Rim Riders, will compete for national titles the following week, April 12-13. Hourigan will crown Champions in the Adult Divisions on Championship Sunday, April 14 with games tipping off on the Hourigan Championship Court at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.
