Marchiano, Smith Invited to 2022 USA Wheelchair Rugby Selection Camp

Sportable is proud to announce that two members of the Sportable Possums wheelchair rugby team, Mandy Marchanio and Josh Smith, have been invited to participate in the USA Wheelchair Rugby 2022 Selection Camp December 1-5, 2021. Marchiano and Smith will be among 40 athletes in attendance at the Lakeshore Foundation U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site striving to make the 16-member 2022 Training Squad.

Sportable is proud to announce that Tyler Berry has committed to play wheelchair basketball at Southwest Minnesota State University next fall. He officially signed his letter of intent at a ceremony held at the family-owned Third Base Grill on October 30.

Sportable Hosts Commonwealth Cup November 20

Sportable is proud to announce the return of the Commonwealth Cup, presented by Rybec Insurance, on Saturday, November 20, 2021. The power soccer tournament will feature the Sportable Hive and the Tidewater Piranhas and will take place at Manchester Middle School in Chesterfield County.

Sportable proudly raised an unprecedented $170,000 through the historic 10th Anniversary Sportable Tailgate presented by Dominion Energy. The award recognizes extraordinary individuals within the 250,000-member HCA Healthcare workforce who have had the highest achievements in serving others.

Sportable Announces Tailgate Matching Challenge

Sportable is proud to announce a matching challenge to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Sportable Tailgate presented by Dominion Energy. Should Sportable raise $30,000 prior to October 3, 2021, generous donors will contribute a dollar-for-dollar match, given with each threshold of $10,000 achieved, to support the organization’s mission to make sports accessible and inclusive in RVA. Sportable Celebrates 10th Anniversary Tailgate this Fall

Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, is proud to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Sportable Tailgate this fall. Dominion Energy will return as Presenting Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. This year’s event will pay homage to the inaugural Tailgate, hosted in 2012, with a series of celebrations from September 17 through October 3.

Sportable’s signature fundraising event will unite the community with a goal to raise critical funds and awareness for Sportable’s mission to make sports accessible and inclusive for individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments. Sportable River City Slam Starts Friday

Sportable will host the River City Slam Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, presented by The Abstract Athlete, this Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 12. Spectators are invited to attend free of charge to watch some of the top wheelchair tennis players from Richmond and across the country compete at Collegiate School’s Robins Campus.
